Autumn is here, and we’re reluctant to turn our backs on seawater. What if we practice our fitness routines without giving up on it? Aquagym and introductory classes for babies and children are the disciplines you can learn through our quarterly courses. Do you want to improve your strength, tone up without impact, or better control your breathing during exercise? We’ll be waiting for you!
It is said that when the good times end (in this case, summer), the best usually begins: the chance to take advantage of the new school year to resume good habits, set new challenges, or fulfill those we had left behind along the way.
New course, new life!
Autumn is the season of resetting, of shedding our skin, sweeping away the dead leaves, and starting over. These months are somewhat related to January (because of the fresh start), but with one major advantage: we head into autumn with a refreshed mind after the summer, after a well-deserved vacation, and that extra dose of time to reflect (or read) that the warmer months give us.
So, when the mind is healthy, you know what’s next, right? Heal the body, reactivate it, and pamper it a little so that the Roman equation (and the Romans knew a lot about well-being) of “a healthy mind in a healthy body” is complete. You should never give up feeling good and looking your best.
At La Perla, we’re very aware of all this, and not only that: we refuse to give up on seawater bathing once summer is over, which is why the “active” activities we present below have one thing in common: they all take place in the seawater at our facilities.
Therefore, we suggest you check out our quarterly courses in the following disciplines:

What are they? What are the benefits of exercising in the sea? Many! This practice benefits from the greater weightlessness of the marine aquatic environment, which translates into:
- Greater buoyancy and a decrease in the sensation of body weight by more than 50%.
- Muscle toning without damaging joints or bones.
- Improve rehabilitation processes, making them more effective and less painful.
Let’s go!
Aquagym
Aquagym is the practice of gymnastics (the theoretical basis of the exercises is the same as in fitness classes) in our multipurpose seawater pool at a constant temperature of 32°C. What benefits does it offer? Those inherent to practicing in an aquatic environment, which, in addition to providing resistance to the muscles, protects them from injury by making movements less abrupt.
Aquatic gymnastics improves physical fitness, tones without impact, increases muscle strength and endurance, improves balance, and stimulates venous circulation.
In addition, the 45-minute class includes another 45 minutes of thalassotherapy so you can continue enjoying the relaxing benefits of seawater. You can contact us by email (info@laperla.net) or by phone (943 45 88 56) for more information about the conditions and schedule, whether you prefer to practice one or two days a week.

Introductory aquatic courses
Aquatic initiation courses for babies (from 4 months) and children (up to 7 years) are also being reactivated in a 32°C seawater pool. These courses are designed to take advantage of the many benefits of becoming familiar with the aquatic environment from a young age.
Shall we review some of those advantages?
We all know that children instinctively and effortlessly learn skills that will later benefit them in their daily lives. Aquatic initiation promotes psychomotor development, strengthens the cardiothoracic system, stimulates the sense of touch, improves self-awareness, develops the ability to cope with difficulties, and relaxes them… a host of positive factors, to which we must add the most important: for them, these courses are perceived as a game that they greatly enjoy.
The courses are organized in 30-minute sessions, one day a week (Saturday and Sunday mornings only). Plus, while the children learn, their companions can relax in our Thalassotherapy Circuit.
